Copying
Between Images of Different Size
It's
happened to most of us at one time or another. We drag a layer
from the layers palette to the window of another image to
copy it and it's WAY too big. Here's a way to make sure that
doesn't happen again. |
Quick
Painting
This
week I'll show you a quick way to turn your photos into a
line art drawing. This effect is fairly popular, but I've
not seen many tutorials on how to get from point A to point
F (i.e. finished image). |
Facial
Warp: Time For A Makeover
I
have been working on several actions (I think I'm up to 30
variations now) for getting some use out of these photos.
Most of these first turn an image into an artistic rendering. |
Gifts
for July 4: Photoshop 7 Styles
I'm
finally going to make good on my threat and get a little fishing
time in. I don't want to leave you hanging though, so this
week I thought I'd share some patriotic goodies with you. |
Creating
A CD in Photoshop
This
week we are going to look at how to draw a CD in Photoshop
7. We will be using the new opacity options on the layer palette.
We will also be using the fade fill command. Not too many
people even know about this incredibly useful tool. |
Fun
With Faces
Even
though I'm 'into' crazy effects, for a long time I considered
the liquify tool to be pretty useless. Some times it just
takes awhile for things to sink in. After some work with the
tool, I've revised that opinion and now love to liquify. |
Creating
A Blurred Background
Let's
just do something really simple this week. The trick is to
shoot a subject with a distant background. We are going to
create the effect of focusing on the subject. |
CREATING
A MASK OVER MULTIPLE LAYERS
A layer mask is great for creating masks for a single layer.
But what happens when you have several layers that you want
to mask all at once? Well, let's find out why. |
Blending
Pipes
We
are going to learn how to create pipes and then blend them
together. In other words we are going to be building a pipe
with another pipe sticking out of it as if it had been molded
as one unit. |
Using
Masks for Seamless Backgrounds
Ever
wonder where all those seamless backgrounds come from? How
does the creator get them to blend so...well, seamlessly?
If you've tried to create your own, I'm sure you've perused
at least a dozen tutorials on the subject. |
