Dreamweaver: Using Image Maps
An image map is one large image that has been divided into
multiple areas that contain multiple links. Image maps are great
because they let you create custom shaped links around selected
parts of an image.
Step 1: Getting Started
- To begin, open a document with an image inserted
- Click the image once to select it
- Go up to the Properties Inspector to the Image Map options
Step 2: Drawing the Hotspots
For this example, we will need to use the Polygon Tool
because we will be creating irregularly shaped hotspots.
- Select the Polygon Tool and
- Click and drag around the black crayon. Each time you
click, you crate a corner point.
