In this lesson, we're going to demonstrate how to integrate
Flash 5 and Dreamweaver 4 by building a simple navigation bar in
Flash and then using it to control HTML content in Dreamweaver.
We're starting out with a simple Frameset created in
Dreamweaver 4.
Start out by creating a simple navigation bar in Flash
containing at least 1 button you can assign the ActionScript to.
Step 1: Assigning the
ActionScript
Create at least 1 button
Select the button and in the Actions Panel, select
Basic Actions>Get URL
Enter a URL for your button
using an Absolute URL (beginning with http://)
In the Window option,
enter the name you gave your bottom
frame in Dreamweaver. The Window field in Flash is
equivalent to the Target Frame option in Dreamweaver.
Continue adding the Get URL for any
remaining buttons you created in Flash
Publish your Flash movie to
a
Defined Site and open your frameset you created in
Dreamweaver
