Pixellated
Blur
This
week let us learn a little technique I like to call the pixellated
blur. I don't really call it that, but I had to call it something
for the purposes of this tutorial. Really, I don't call it
anything at all. Anyway, on with the tutorial. |
Non-Digital
Inspiration I
would like to depart for this week, and maybe longer, to discuss
some inspirations outside of the digital realm. Actually,
I just want to talk in particular this week about someone
who continues to be a great inspiration for me an to many
others in the field of design. |
Quick
and easy 3D I'd
like to show you a little technique I like to use for a quick
3D effect. It is really simple and fast when you need some
simple 3D on shapes. While it doesnt't work as well as some
of the other techniques (we can talk about those later), it
works really well for some. |
Combinations,
Variations and Strange Portents
For years a few
of us struggled to get people interested in these powerful
macros, as actions were basically glossed over by the 'Big
Guys'. |
The
Boy in the Bubble
This week's tutorial
comes from a special request I received. I would have done
this earlier but had to practice a bit first. |
Glassy
Globes Before
I start, let me first give credit for where this idea came
from. If you have never been to the Pank Pages website and
seen their tutorials, I strongly urge you to do so. |
Adventures
In Liquid
This
week we are going to take the inspiration I'm getting from
the deluge hitting my window and turn it into type that drips
off the monitor. So with umbrella in hand, let's get started! |
Snowballs
In July
As
many of you know I live in Montana. Though we suffer through
several months of snow on average, summertime still affects
us mountain dwellers. |
4th
Of July Fun
I
think I mentioned last week that I'd continue the textures
theme, and I promise to do so soon. I thought that this week
we would just do something fun. |
Problematic
Layer Styles
Oh,
how we've come to love layer styles in just a few short months!
They're easy, they're fast, they're "live," and
they can be saved. What's not to like? |
