Dave Huss is familiar to the thousands of
readers of his Graphically Speaking column on the old i-us
website which appeared weekly for nearly three years.

I was surprised when I first met Dave two years
ago that he so strongly resembled the cartoon that accompanied
his highly-informative column. We got together again last April
in LA for Photoshop World 2001 and I found the genial Texan
nearly 100 pounds lighter and full of enthusiasm for digital
photography.

A senior writer/graphic artist for Motorola,
Dave's love of photography takes him afield near his home in
Austin to stalk Texas' famed wildflowers and other flora.
Dave has written nine books on digital photo
editing and his newest, "First, Take Your Foot Off The Mouse,"
is a computer trouble-shooting guide mixed with tales from his
days in tech support. Knowing Huss, these tales are funny.

Dave's love of outdoor photography shines
through in the images he emails to friends on a nearly weekly
basis. I'm pleased to be able to present a few of my favorites.

With Photoshop World 2001 East just five weeks
away in Tampa, Florida, (Sept. 6-8), I'm starting to rehearse my
presentation on "Beginning Digital Photography." An added
feature for this Photoshop World will be a Q&A panel following
my session for folks who want to ask questions or see further
Photoshop techniques demonstrated.
My buddy Jim DiVitale will be on hand for a couple of sessions
on high-end digital photography so our medium will be well
represented.
So pack your flip-flops, whet your appetite for
Cuban food and plan to join us in Tampa on September 6-8 for
Photoshop World 2001 East. |
