Layer
Sets If
you haven't upgraded to Photoshop 6 yet, here is another reason
to do so. In the past, the number of layers in a Photoshop
file would grow and grow to unmanageable numbers. Now we can
organize these layers in a new way. We can organize them with
layer sets. |
Slices
Before we move on to the next subject, I want to talk a littl
bit more about slices and the slice tool in Photoshop. Last
week we sliced up our web page into bits and pieces that we
could place into our HTML tables for our web site. We used
Image Ready to make slices out of guides. What happens if you
don't use guides? Let's talk about that. |
Auto
F/X Dream Suite
It was
with great joy that I received my copy of Auto F/X newest
graphics package. |
Combinations, Variations and Strange Portents
For years a few of us struggled to get people interested in
these powerful macros, as actions were basically glossed over
by the 'Big Guys'. |
Duotone
Vs. MutliChannel Part 1
A great way to save on your printing costs is to use two inks
instead of four. You can also produce some incredibly striking
images, and some cool effects, for print, Web, and artistic
purposes. |
Duotone Vs. MutliChannel Part 2
In the first installment of this series, we looked at
duotone color mode, how it works, and how you can control it. |
Problematic
Layer Styles
Oh, how
we've come to love layer styles in just a few short months!
They're easy, they're fast, they're "live," and they can be
saved. What's not to like? |
Save
For Web's Secrets
Since its introduction with
Photoshop 5.5, Save for Web has become an indispensable part
of the workflow for many of us who prepare images for the Web. |
Gradients
In Photoshop 6, Part 3
One of the lesser-known capabilities in Photoshop 6 is the
Noise Gradient. An option when creating or editing a gradient,
it produces some truly wild gradients! |
Gradients
In Photoshop 6, Part 2
To really take advantage of the power of gradients, it's
necessary to create your own gradients. One of the easiest
ways to do so is to edit existing gradients. |
